Markham Road Animal Hospital would like to welcome you and your pet to our veterinary clinic in Scarborough. Devoted to the health and well being of your pet, please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with our dedicated veterinary team:

Dr. Robin Goldstein

Owner and Veterinarian, B.Sc., DVM

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Goldstein graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph in 1974. He pursued the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at Guelph and graduated as a veterinarian in 1979. Soon after, he was the owner and sole veterinarian at Markham Road Animal Hospital and has been practicing here ever since.

Dr. Goldstein enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine – from preventative medicine to surgery. He has worked with associate veterinarians at his clinic and has been involved with many specialists in the field. He is always actively engaged in continuing education to provide the best treatments and, for a couple of years now, has incorporated high-tech laser surgery into his practice for improved pain control for the animals. Dr. Goldstein was involved in caring for exotic birds, reptiles, and other exotic animals with his associate for eight years.

He is a dedicated veterinarian who has spent his career caring for the health and welfare of canine and feline animals and developing a strong rapport with his clients. He is very friendly and personable. He takes pride in his relationship with his clients, some of whom have been coming to him for many years. Dr. Goldstein is attentive to his clients’ needs and their animals’ treatment, and he is very passionate about his career as a veterinarian. He has three pets of his own at the clinic that enhance the atmosphere when the clients come in.

He is hard-working and a great community partner. He has participated in hiring co-op students from different schools in the community, many of whom have become part-time or full-time jobs at the clinic. For leisure, Dr. Goldstein enjoys golfing, walking his giant schnauzer, whistling with his budgies at home, feeding his fighter fish, travelling, and spending time with his wife and three children.
