Ultrasounds

A Closer Look at Your Pet’s Internal Organs

Diagnosing Your Pet’s Condition with Ultrasounds in Scarborough

In addition to the usage of digital x-rays, Markham Road Animal Hospital also uses ultrasound technology (or ultrasonography) for non-invasive diagnostics of various conditions in our Scarborough veterinary clinic. Using sound wave transmissions, we can examine your pet’s internal organs, including those found in their abdomen and chest, to see if everything is functioning as it should be. Ultrasounds aid us in the discovery of cancer, tumours, bladder stones, and even pregnancies.

Sometimes it may be necessary for your pet to be sedated during an ultrasound. We also advise clipping your pet’s fur in order for us to be able to apply the necessary gel for the ultrasound easier.
